Quality Assurance

Our manufacturing process includes strict chemical composition control. Iron content stays below 0.30%, oxygen below 0.25%. This precise control optimizes the strength-to-ductility balance you need.

We continue to have extensive testing capabilities, such as XRF analysis for Positive Material Identification (PMI). Non-destructive testing is performed on each batch to confirm compliance with ASTM B265 requirements.

Industrial Applications

Chemical Processing Equipment

Your reaction vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks handling hypochlorites and nitric acid benefit from complete crevice corrosion immunity. The material protects critical infrastructure against aggressive fluids that destroy conventional metals.

Desalination and Power Generation

Condenser tube sheets and plate-and-frame heat exchangers in coastal facilities require resistance to microbiologically influenced corrosion. Our cp grade 2 titanium sheet withstands high-velocity seawater flow in desalination plants.

Medical and Aerospace Components

Bio-inert properties make the material suitable for cranial plates and maxillofacial reconstruction. Its osseointegration capability supports medical device manufacturing. In aerospace, you gain formable material for non-structural airframe skins and ducting systems.

Why Choose Our CP Grade 2 Titanium Sheet

Increased Resistance to Corrosion
When broken, the protective titanium dioxide (TiO2) coating on sheet rapidly recovers. In seawater up to 200°C, this offers total protection against pitting and crevice corrosion. In conditions where stainless steel fails, such as moist chlorine, metallic chlorides, and sulfides, you get dependable performance.

Outstanding Weldability and Formability
In contrast to Grade 5 titanium alloy, our material can attain mechanical qualities without heat treatment. Excellent cold-forming properties for stamping and bending operations are guaranteed by the 20% elongation. Welding it will not significantly reduce its ductility, making the fabrication process easier.

Strong but Lightweight
The material weighs 56% of similar steel components with a density of 4.51 g/cm³. You preserve steel-like tensile qualities while lowering structural weight. This benefit is essential for transportable equipment, marine components, and aeronautical ducting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes Grade 2 titanium sheet different from Grade 1?

A: Because of its regulated iron and oxygen concentration, Grade 2 delivers greater strength (yield 275 MPa vs. 170 MPa). For general industrial applications, it strikes a compromise between strength and formability, while Grade 1 offers better deep-drawing ductility.

Q: Is it possible for me to fuse your titanium sheet to stainless steel?

A: Brittle intermetallic composites (FeTi) are produced by direct welding. When combining incompatible materials, explosive bonding or mechanical fastening must be used.

Q: What is the highest temperature at which it may be used?

A: Up to 400°C to 425°C, the material is stable. Unless utilized in vacuum, fast oxidation takes place at this range, resulting in the formation of a brittle alpha case layer.

Q: How can I confirm the grade of the material?

A: Make use of XRF portable analyzers for Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing. Grade 5 has about 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, whereas Grade 2 is 99% pure titanium with trace components.

Q: After cold forming, is heat treatment required?

A: Following severe cold forming, stress reduction annealing at 538°C for 30 to 60 minutes is advised. By doing this, the Bauschinger effect is avoided and ductility is restored.
