Titanium Reducer – High-Performance Pipe Fitting for Corrosive Environments

Located in the Titanium Valley of China, Baoji Jucheng Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. specializes in producing high-end titanium reducer parts designed for demanding industrial applications. With more than 20 years of experience in titanium manufacturing, our firm manufactures premium reducers that meet ASME B16.9, MSS SP-43, and GB/T 27684 specifications. Our reducers are made from Grades 1, 2, 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), 7, 9, and 12 titanium alloys and come in diameters ranging from 3/4 x 1/2 to 48 x 40 (DN20 x 15 to DN1200 x 1000). We deliver more than 500 sets of titanium equipment each year and keep around 3,000 tons of titanium inventory year-round, guaranteeing quick response times and dependable supply capability for your vital piping projects.

What Makes Our Titanium Reducer Superior

In fluid handling systems, a reducer is an essential pipe fitting that joins two pipes with various diameters. Our reducers remove erosion-corrosion problems and galvanic corrosion, unlike conventional stainless steel or carbon steel substitutes.

Near-complete immunity to pitting and crevice corrosion is provided by the self-healing titanium dioxide (TiO2) protective coating that spontaneously forms. Seawater, chlorides, and organic acids are among the harsh media in which this natural barrier excels.

There are two basic setups for our reducers. Concentric reducers are perfect for vertical flow applications because they preserve symmetrical centerlines. In order to avoid air pockets and cavitation in horizontal pump suction lines, eccentric reducers have offset centerlines with one flat side.

Your system benefits from lightweight yet high-pressure competent components with an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio (density of about 4.51g/cm³). This preserves exceptional mechanical integrity while lowering the structural load requirements.

Why Choose Jucheng Reducer

Demonstrated Manufacturing Superiority

We have state-of-the-art titanium melting, precision machining, and heat treatment equipment at our 120,000-square-meter production plant. Our extensive non-destructive testing procedures put each titanium reducer through rigorous quality control.

Selection of Material Grade

For broad corrosive situations, Grade 2 offers exceptional ductility and weldability. In low pH environments, Grade 7, palladium-enhanced, offers improved resistance to crevice corrosion. For pressure vessel applications up to 300°C, Grade 12 offers greater strength and heat resistance.

Quick Delivery Capability

With our large inventory and efficient production procedures, your projects remain on schedule. We value speedy turnaround without sacrificing quality because we are aware of the costs associated with downtime.

Versatility of Applications

In the fields of aerospace, maritime engineering, chemical processing, food production, biomedicine, and high-end equipment manufacturing, our reducers play vital roles. We offer customized solutions whether you require eccentric reducers for horizontal installations or concentric reducers for vertical pipelines.

FAQ

Q: When should I choose eccentric versus concentric design?

A: Use concentric reducers for vertical piping to maintain flow centerlines and uniform pressure distribution. Select eccentric reducers for horizontal pump suctions to prevent air pocket formation and eliminate cavitation risks.

Q: Is it possible to directly weld your reducer to stainless steel?

A: Brittle intermetallic compounds are produced when titanium and stainless steel are directly fused together. To guarantee system integrity and long-term dependability, we advise utilizing flanged connections or transition joints.

Q: What impact does temperature have on pressure ratings?

A: Specific pressure-temperature ratings must adhere to ASME B16.5 and B16.9 requirements, even though titanium retains outstanding strength over temperature ranges. For applications requiring greater operating temperatures, grade 12 is recommended.

Q: What kind of quality assurance do you offer?

A: In accordance with EN 10204 3.1, we provide comprehensive documentation, including 100% X-ray (RT) reports and Material Test Certificates (MTC). According to ASTM B363 requirements, these certifications provide complete material traceability and appropriate inert gas shielding during welding.
